Tell me a little about yourself & what has brought you to the centre?
I lived alone and isolated in Radcliffe and suffered anxiety, depression and psychosis.  I had suffered mental health problems all my life and came to the centre out of desperation.  I was receiving NHS support.
How were you dealing with your situation before starting to attend CLC?
I was self medicating, taking prescription drugs and using up NHS resources.
Activities attended:
  • Yoga
  • Reiki
  • Gardening
  • Meditation
  • Acupuncture
What has helped since becoming a member?
The CLC has transformed my health physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  I was assessed and given courses of reiki and massage which pulled me out of my immediate hell and allowed me to slowly find my feet and explore other therapies/groups
What would you recommend to others?
I would recommend all forms of therapy and groups that promote wellbeing which is most of the groups.
What would you say to others about CLC?
That it is an oasis from the madness of society and promotes well being on all levels for all exhausted by society's madness.
What have you achieved since you became member of CLC?
I have become a qualified yoga teacher, reiki master and manage my illness much better so I can now volunteer.
Has coming to the centre helped prevent you needing other services?
Absolutely- it has reduced my attendance at mental health services, A & E, doctors and drop in centres.
