Taking place on June 18th, 2025, we aim to bring together mental health professionals, community leaders, employers, advocates, and individuals affected by suicide to work together towards saving lives. This conference will focus on raising awareness, providing resources, and developing strategies to prevent suicide in our communities and workplaces.

Members helped to pick rhubarb for the crumble from the CLC allotment an then spent time prepping and chopping all the ingredients to make 2 delicious recipes. This initiative has been designed so that members of the CLC can access both short and longer term volunteering opportunities as part of the 5 ways to wellbeing model with the central theme of giving back. Evidence suggests there are 5 steps you can take to improve your mental wellbeing. The 5 Ways to Wellbeing model focuses on: Connecting with other people. Being physically active. Learning new skills. Giving to others. Paying attention to the present moment (mindfulness). Here at the Creative Living Centre, we have a varied timetable of support available for members. This provides an opportunity to explore what activities each person may feel supports with their mental health and wellbeing journey with this model being central to the support we offer. If you are interested in finding out more, please speak with your support coordinator If you are a local charity or community initiative who would like to help our members get some volunteering experience, please contact [email protected] |
